Printing Press Layout

This was a project I created for typography. We were given content to work with (http://www.designingwithtype.com/5/grids.php). The constraints were size, page number (4), and color (grayscale). The objective was to work with the given content to create a layout that would inform the viewer about Johannes Gutenberg and the printing press. The layout consists of a front cover, 2 page inside spread, and a back cover.

Pensacola Logo

This is a logo and slogan for Pensacola, FL. I created this in August 2010 for an advertising project. I wanted to incorporate the beach into the logo while keeping it fun, simple and easy to reproduce. I feel that this logo both incorporates our best known asset--the beach--while playing up our relaxing, laid-back atmosphere.

Marketing Fundamentals Logo

This is a logo I designed in November 2010 for a special project. A professor enlisted myself and another student to create a video blog for his Marketing Fundamentals class. This logo is for the website that we will be launching next semester featuring the videos. The videos are free to use by anyone who wants to learn marketing fundamentals, and they are linked between all three sites to faciliate the learning process. You can view them here: http://marketingfundamentalswithbob.blogspot.com/

Omega Project

This was a project for my typography class. The objective was to create a design based around a Greek symbol and 100 words to describe the history of the symbol. The constraints were that we had to use an 8x8 document size, the colors ref, black and white, and we also had to include the symbol, paragraph, and the name of the symbol in our designs.
This project was created in September 2010.

Intro

This blog is a way for me to display--and keep track of--my graphic design. I enjoy graphic design, and I wanted to have a way to organize and share my pieces. I will be posting finished work only. The work I intend to post will have been created for a variety of reasons; personal projects, school projects, and commercial projects. I will post a short description of the work, the reason it was created, and the date of creation. I will also post any links associated with the piece. All work displayed on this blog is my original creation, but I will share if asked. I've created all of the pieces on this blog with the Adobe Creative Suite-mainly Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, but I plan to learn more creative programs, such as in the near future.
